Information for Practitioners

At The Policy Press we have always had a commitment to informing practice and policy. We feel strongly that academic research should be accessible and be able to make a difference to what happens on the ground. Likewise professional textbooks should use case studies and real life scenarios to illustrate the dilemmas faced by workers in their day-to-day practice.

Our not-for-profit status and social aims mean we are a good fit with many of the organisations we work with such as the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the British Association of Social Workers, the Community Development Foundation and voluntary sector organisations like Help the Aged and UNICEF. Through these types of collaboration, our books set new standards in guiding you through the ideas, values and knowledge base necessary for professional practice.
