How do I search for a title?

Quick Search
If you know the title, author or ISBN of a book, type this in the Quick Search box and click Go. Click again on Find out more and a full entry will appear. Click on the Buy now button to order. If you only have a partial title in mind, or an author's name, follow this same procedure. A list of results will appear, one of which may be the title you are looking for.

Advanced Search
Search by Author: Enter the author's full name, or surname, into the Author box and click Find. All titles written or edited by that author will appear in publication date order.

Search by Title: Enter the full title and click Find. Entering key words from the title will produce a longer list within which the title should appear.

Search by ISBN: Enter all the numbers of the ISBN and click Find.

Search by Series
: Enter the full series name and click Find. A list of titles published within a specific series will result. Entering the key words of a series title will achieve the same result.

Search by Keyword:
Enter a single keyword and click Find. A list of titles within which that specific word appears - either within the bibliographic, or descriptive product information, will be displayed. The addition of further keywords will refine the search results.

General Search tip:
All searches can be further qualified by "Publisher" or by "Publication Date".

Search by Subject:
Select your subject interest and, if required, a publication date range and click Find. A list of relevant titles will appear in publication date order. In some subjects the quantity of titles we hold is too large to retrieve as a single list. This can be avoided by refining your search with Publication Date parameters.

Search by Geographical Category:
Many of these searches will also retrieve a large number of titles. It is advisable to refine your search with Publication date parameters prior to clicking Find.

How do I place an order?
Once you've found a book that you want to buy, the shopping cart system makes it easy to place your order.

Just click on the Buy now option on the title's page and the item will be added to your basket in the top right hand corner. At this stage you may continue shopping or complete your order. When you have selected all the items you require, click on your basket to complete your order. You will then be directed to an online form that requires your email address. Having entered this, click the Continue button. You will then be asked to enter your chosen Password (minimum 8 characters). Once you have verified your password you will be directed to an online order form. Once you have completed this, just press the Continue button and your details will be sent quickly and securely to us.

How do I pay?

Is it safe to pay online?
When you place an order online with the Policy Press, your personal details are completely safe. We use the industry standard secure server software, which protects your information as it is transmitted over the Internet. Your order is encrypted so that no one else can read it, and is not decoded until it reaches our secure server. When it reaches us, only authorised personnel will see it. We do not store your credit card details online, so other internet users cannot access your details. In the event of fraudulent or unauthorised use of your card, most banks and card issuers will not hold you liable for the charges incurred - or will only hold you liable for the first £50. We are confident that whilst you are using our site, there is no chance of this happening. So, if through no fault of your own, unauthorised use of your card takes place through our secure server, we will cover your liability up to a maximum of £50. This guarantee is limited to purchases made through our secure server and is subject to notification of your card issuer in line with its regulations.
